The Characters

      • Rats are no strangers to rejection, but Remy, a rat who longs to be a great chef, has more than the usual obstacles to overcome.

      • Linguini, a timid and well-meaning young man, is the new garbage boy at Gasteau's. After going through a series of ill-fated jobs, Linguini is desperate to hold onto this one, which he sees as his last hope.

      • He is head chef of the famous restaurant Gusteau's. He was sous-chef under Gusteau but became the head chef after Gusteau's death.

      • He is a brown (probably like his mother's fur color), overweight rat, and is slightly larger than his younger brother.

      • Colette is the only female cook in Chef Skinner's kitchen. She is a capable cook, hard working and very tough to enter the masculine world of haute cuisine.

      • He is the renowned and extremely talented chef who wrote the bestseller "Anyone Can Cook" and founded the restaurant Gusteau's which merited five stars.

      • Ego is an imperious and acerbic food critic, whose reviews can make or break a restaurant. He adamantly rejects Gusteau's belief that anyone can cook, and was a firm critic of the idealist chef.
